What moves us

The Federal Association of German Galleries and Art Dealers (BVDG) published its 'Beta Manifesto' in 2016, which outlines a picture of the future of the art market in 10 theses.


Thesis 2 reads:

More artists are becoming entrepreneurs - the gallery owners their business partners


Instead of separating artists and collectors from one another, in the future galleries will take on tasks (especially mediation and marketing) that they cannot solve on their own. This creates new win-win constellations from outdated conventions. Pointing out, promoting and realizing these is our concern at artlinks.


Only when those interested in art become buyers can the market regain its relevance and attractiveness for everyone involved. So it's primarily about making art easier for new target groups: through more transparency and more motivation.
